Capcom 's sci-fi shooter claims sales crown in hit-shaking week that saw 6 out of 10 seats occupied by new releases.

After several weeks of stagnation , Media Create 's Japanese game sales chart has received significant overhaul during the week of 17-23 May, more than half of the 10 claimed recently released titles.

Both versions of Lost Planet 2 introduced a week top 5 best-selling games.

PlayStation 3 version of Lost Planet 2 ranked first with 84,607 copies sold per week, dethroning Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 after playing DS role-playing side enjoyed three weeks at the top of sales charts. Lost from the planet 2 '360 version also fared well, finishing a week in fifth place with 33,536 copies sold.

The next major new release was Konami 's World Cup 2010 Winning Eleven: Aoki, a samurai not Chousen for PlayStation 3. Taking advantage of noise for the forthcoming World Cup (although it lacks the tournament 's official license), Aoki, a samurai is not Chousen for Sony S' console third overall, with sales of 57,214. PSP and PlayStation 2 editions of the game also crack the charts, finishing sixth and ninth place respectively.
